As a member of the IRIS Network, the Association for Development LEDA is one of 10 organizations that received a grant under the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Support Scheme in 2017, the project “Promoting and protecting the rights of children at risk”, which implement LIR civil society and ASB South East Europe, funded by the European Union. The project addresses children’s rights and seeks to strengthen the role of civil society organizations (CSOs) in the creation of local policies for the protection and promotion of children’s rights and dialogue between state and civil society in relevant areas.
The implementation of the project “May every day be Children’s Day” began on December 2, 2019, by signing a contract in Banja Luka. This project will be implemented by Association for Development LEDA, in partnership with the Centre for Psychological Support Sensus from Mostar.
The specific objectives of the project are: strengthening partner organizations in the promotion of children’s rights and improving awareness of children’s rights among children, parents and citizens.
The main activity of the project is the carrying out of a street campaign in two cities (Mostar and Zenica), where, through the promotional material and the work of volunteers the public will be encouraged to respect children’s rights at all levels.
The duration of the project is 6 months and the total value of the project is 2995 Euro.
